Job summary

San Diego Unified School District is seeking a Human Resources Compliance Officer to manage district-wide ADA accommodation programs and statutory leaves across staff. You will oversee intake, processing, and documentation, and work with legal counsel to ensure compliance.

The role requires supervising staff and delivering training on complex regulations. Position is full-time in the Human Resources Department in San Diego, CA, with benefits and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven years of HR experience.
• Specialized experience in ADA interactive process and statutory leaves.
• Public agency or TK-12 district experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, audit, and evaluate ADA accommodation and leave programs.
• Oversee intake and processing of accommodation requests and leaves.
• Provide guidance on ADA, leaves, and risk management with legal counsel.
• Coordinate interactive process meetings and maintain records.
• Supervise staff and develop training on compliance and reporting.
