Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego is seeking a Workplace Accommodation Specialist to administer the ADA accommodation process, coordinating with employees, HR, and Leave of Absence to enable performance. The role requires reviewing medical documentation, managing interactive process memos, and ensuring privacy and compliance across departments.

Ideal candidates will have 3 years of ADA-related experience and a Bachelor’s degree; healthcare experience and HR certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience administering reasonable accommodations, ADA interactive processes, employee relations, or leave management.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; or 4 years of HR-related experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Reasonable Accommodation and Interactive Process: primary contact for employee accommodation requests and manage the interactive process with documentation.
• Medical Documentation and Case Review: review RAQs and medical docs for completeness and relevance; maintain confidentiality.
• Stakeholder Partnership: collaborate with managers and HR; guide leaders on ADA obligations and accommodations.
• Documentation and Compliance: document all accommodation decisions and maintain records; support audits and reporting.
• Education and Process Improvement: educate staff on the process and drive standardization of forms and workflows related to accommodations.
