Job summary

Forvia is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide hands-on HR support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be a key contact for day-to-day HR needs, handling employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, training, workforce processes, and policy implementation across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Generalist experience across HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, training and performance management.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
• Experience in a unionized environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on HR support to employees and leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Serve as primary resource for HR policies and employee-related matters.
• Coordinate onboarding and deliver new hire orientation.
• Maintain HR records and HR systems.
• Support attendance, leave, disability, and other HR processes.
• Coordinate plant training and record-keeping.
• Support performance management, evaluations, and development processes.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and communications.
• Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics.
• Assist with headcount and workforce planning with plant leadership.
• Support compensation and bonus administration as needed.
• Participate in audits and ensure HR documentation is compliant.
• Collaborate with union representatives and support labor relations where applicable.
