Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner to employees and leaders in Dubuque, Iowa. The role provides day-to-day guidance on HR policies, manages employee relations issues, supports performance and development processes, and uses data to drive HR initiatives.

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to employees and leaders, helping to alignpeoplestrategies with business goals. This roleprovidesday-to-day guidance on HR policies, manages employee relations issues, supports performance and development processes, and uses data to drive HR initiatives. HRBPs play a critical role in shaping employee experience, enabling effective leadership, and ensuring organizational alignment with company values andobjectives.
Act as a primary point of contact for employees and leadersregardingHR policies, procedures, and programs
Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and conflict resolution
Support leaders in the performance management process byidentifyingconcerns,assistingwith documentation, andfacilitatingperformance improvement plans
Interpret and apply HR policies consistently and in compliance with applicable laws and company guidelines
Analyze HR data toidentifytrends and provide insights to support business decisions and improve organizational effectiveness
Partner with leaders to implement career development and talent planning strategies, including building andmaintainingjob level frameworks
Collaborate with HR colleagues and cross-functional teams to deliver programs and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational culture
Ensureaccurateandtimelydata management in HR systems andmaintaincompliance documentation as needed
Assistin driving HR-related communications andchangemanagement efforts within assigned departments
Operates independently on most employee relations matters, including investigations and coaching
Provides advice to frontline and mid-level leaders on performance management, workforce planning, and policy application
Leads department-level initiatives related to engagement, communication, and process improvement
Uses data toidentifytrends, present insights, and support HR strategies
Contributes to program development and plays a key role in HR projects
Balances both tactical support and strategic advising responsibilities
On-site & Office-based in a service-oriented environment with frequent communication and collaboration

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldpreferred
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and leader support
Demonstrated ability to apply HR policies and employment laws in practical settings
Proficiencyin using HRIS platforms and analyzing HR data to inform decisions
Ability to coach leaders, manage complex situations, and handle sensitive matters with discretion
