Job summary

FiberTel, LLC in Springville, UT is seeking a Benefits and Leave Specialist to join our HR team. You will administer employee benefits and leaves of absence, coordinate with our corporate benefits team, reconcile benefit billing to payroll, and answer employee benefit questions.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the role requires at least 2 years of experience in benefits and leave administration, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in benefits and leave administration.
• Knowledge of FMLA and other leave laws.
• Understanding of how benefit deductions flow through payroll.
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with MS Office, including Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience in a corporate-administered benefits environment a plus.
• Experience in the construction industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations and submit them to our corporate benefits team.
• Serve as the main liaison between FiberTel employees and corporate benefits administration.
• Reconcile benefit billing to payroll deductions across pay cycles and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review benefit billing reports.
• Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA eligibility determinations, designations, and required notices.
• Track leave status, certifications, and return-to-work dates.
• Respond to employee questions on benefits, eligibility, and leave.
• Maintain accurate, confidential benefit and leave records.
• Support HR tasks as needed.
