Terrapin Care Station is seeking an HR Assistant in Jersey Shore, PA to provide essential administrative support to the Human Resources department. This foundational role offers hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR data management.

Ideal candidates have a 0–2 year office background, strong communication skills, and familiarity with MS Office or Google Workspace. The role includes benefits and opportunities to grow within a cannabis industry leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of office experience; HR internship or admin experience preferred.
• Confidentiality and discretion required.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Proficient with MS Office or Google Workspace; HR systems familiarity a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and physical files.
• Process documentation and prepare reports on staffing, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assist in payroll preparation by providing data such as absences and leaves.
• Manage the shared HR inbox and respond to routine inquiries.
• Assist with full-cycle recruiting: post roles, review resumes.
• Coordinate onboarding: I-9 verifications and IT equipment setup.
