Job summary

Navylifesw is seeking an HR Assistant at Naval Air Station Fallon to support CNRSW's HR Office. You will perform clerical duties across HR functions and assist with recruitment, onboarding and records management.

The role requires solid communication, strong MS Office skills, and experience with HRIS platforms. On-site duties support Fleet and Family Readiness at CNRSW, with focus on compliance and service delivery to personnel.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical and/or admin experience.
• 2 years NAF HR experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HR theories, concepts, and practices to support HR functions.
• Knowledge of formats, punctuation, grammar, and clerical steps to process documents.
• Knowledge of Federal records procedures and regulations (e.g., retention requirements, OPF).
• Ability to provide general advice on interpretation of HR policy and regulations.
• Skill in using an HRIS (e.g., SAPHR, KRONOS) and federal job postings platform (USA STAFFING).
• Skill in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must possess interpersonal skills.
