Amentum is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to provide broad HR support at Naval Air Station Fallon, NV. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, leave management, compliance, employee relations, and investigations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of HR generalist experience, strong knowledge of HRIS/Workday, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. This on-site position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business administration, psychology, or a related field; two years per year substituted.
• Minimum five years of well-rounded HR generalist experience with expertise in employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Strong leave management experience including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state leaves; workers’ compensation coordination.
• Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and HR analytics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program hiring managers to understand staffing needs, post jobs, coordinate interviews and ensure candidate experience.
• Manage onboarding in Workday, conduct new hire orientation, guide benefits enrollment, and reinforce policy/culture.
• Act as trusted HR partner for employees and managers; address concerns and mediate conflicts.
• Handle complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend outcomes.
• Coach managers on performance management, documentation, and effective communication.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to implement performance management tools.
• Respond to grievances with management; ensure compliance with CBAs and laws.
• Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state leaves; coordinate workers’ compensation.
• Utilize HR systems to analyze data and support decision making; drive process improvements.
