This is a contract position with the possibility of extension or career conversion.

This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite (3 days) at Greenwich Dr. and remote (2 days).

DESCRIPTION

UC San Diego Health HR is hiring a contract HR Applications Developer who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the UC San Diego Health ServiceNow application for Health Human Resources.

The HR Applications Developer will apply technical knowledge, in collaboration with HR staff, develop, configure and maintain the ServiceNow platform which is used by employees and managers to communicate and work HR to maintain and enhance the most effective system possible. You will be responsible for the delivery of end-to-end solutions within ServiceNow, including architecting technical implementations of HR business processes, and coordinating those efforts with the Health Information Services ServiceNow administrator team. Serve as the lead in loading, manipulating and maintaining data between ServiceNow and other systems. The Developer ensures system stability, integrity and compliance. Provide support and technical guidance for Junior HRSD Programmer/Developer(s) to ensure quality of work, serving as the primary technical lead and point of escalation for the Health HR ServiceNow team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Nine years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five years of related experience/training. Related experience must include experience working with ServiceNow HRSD.
• Highly advanced skills associated with software specification, design, modification, implementation and deployment of large-scale scope.
• Proven experience in web development (HTML/CSS/Javascript).
• Experience developing and executing complex test plans.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies (any of Agile/Lean/Scrum/Dev-ops).
• Skilled in change management and demonstrated ability to strategically move all stakeholder groups through change management stages.
• Proven experience with system administration.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
• Project management skills, including the ability to set project objectives, determine and address potential barriers identify required resources, identify process steps and milestones and adjust action plans to achieve desired outcomes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) and data analytic capabilities with the intention of producing datasets that bridge different areas of core functions.
• Experience in database administration.
• Experience using AngularJS.
• Workflow Design.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $100,100 - $187,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $47.94 - $89.80

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
