Contract: Permanent, full-time

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Office & HR Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of its UK office while providing valuable administrative support to the HR function.

This is a varied, hands‑on position combining office coordination, facilities, supplier management, health and safety, finance administration, IT coordination and HR support. It would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, building strong working relationships and ensuring everything operates efficiently behind the scenes.

The role offers hybrid working, with a requirement to attend the Slough office every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Applicants must also be flexible to work from the office on additional days when business needs require.

The role

Working closely with the Head of HR and colleagues across the organisation, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for office administration queries

  • Ensuring the office remains professional, organised, safe and welcoming

  • Managing office supplies, stationery, refreshments and consumables

  • Coordinating post, couriers, deliveries, meeting rooms and visitors

  • Maintaining accurate office records, trackers and filing systems

  • Supporting employee and visitor travel arrangements

  • Managing relationships with suppliers and external service providers

  • Coordinating office maintenance, repairs and facilities requirements

  • Maintaining health and safety records, inspections and compliance documentation

  • Supporting supplier set‑up, invoice tracking and purchase order administration

  • Maintaining petty cash and office expenditure records

  • Coordinating IT equipment for new starters and leavers

  • Maintaining accurate office and IT asset records

  • Supporting employee onboarding, inductions and new starter documentation

  • Updating employee records and HR systems accurately and confidentially

  • Assisting with leaver administration and other employee lifecycle changes

  • Coordinating training records and compliance documentation

  • Supporting employee engagement activities, wellbeing initiatives and internal events

  • Providing administrative support for HR projects and annual people processes

  • Assisting with internal communications, company meetings and occasional off‑site events

  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working

What we're looking for

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, Office Coordinator, Executive Administrator or similar multifunctional role

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach

  • The confidence to manage multiple priorities and work independently

  • Experience liaising with suppliers and external service providers

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Experience handling confidential records and sensitive information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A professional, proactive and customer‑focused approach

  • The flexibility to attend the office outside the usual Monday‑to‑Wednesday pattern when required

Experience supporting HR administration, onboarding, health and safety, finance processes or employee events would be advantageous. Previous experience within a regulated environment would also be beneficial but is not essential.

Why apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic organisation in a broad position where you can take genuine ownership of office operations while developing your HR administration experience.
