Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Adept at preparing spreadsheets and maintaining internal databases.
• Familiarity with the Louisiana Military Department and Louisiana National Guard structures.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain administrator employee actions in the LaGov system.
• Process personnel and payroll related data, including appointments, promotions, rehires, transfers, etc.
• Determine leave and benefit eligibility and explain benefit options to employees.
• Review benefits documents for accuracy and forward to appropriate office.
• Provide induction materials to new employees and ensure required forms are completed timely.
• Assist with position descriptions and resolve minor information conflicts.
• Distribute grievance forms and procedural instructions as needed.
• Compile data for reports and assist with data entry into related systems.
