Job summary

Nunez Community College is seeking a Human Resources Analyst to support Continuous Performance Management, policy administration, and SCS compliance inquiries as a primary point of contact. This onsite role in Baton Rouge, LA combines HR process ownership with daily office support.

The analyst will coordinate information, manage inbound calls, update job descriptions, and assist other analysts and leaders across HR operations.

This onsite role in Baton Rouge, LA combines HR process ownership with daily office support, including coordinating information, managing inbound calls, and assisting other analysts and leaders.

What you will do

• Provide professional reception by greeting visitors and staff with kindness and professionalism.
• Manage the agency’s Continuous Performance Management (CPM) process from start to finish, including tracking movement and assisting as required.
• Answer incoming calls and provide general information about office services.
• Coordinate and update job descriptions.
• Support policy administration related activities.
• Communicate daily with other analysts, specialists, and office and agency leaders to support HR operations.
• Assist the team with everyday office tasks.

Required qualifications

• Five years of human resources experience; or
• Six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of human resources experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of human resources experience; or
• Advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of human resources experience.

Professional designations can substitute for up to one year of required experience, including SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR. Experience substitution is also available: every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university counts as one year of experience toward the six years of full-time work in any field, with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (up to four years).

Preferred background

• Experience with state LaGov (SAP) and Continuous Performance Management (CPM).
• Experience with Police Administration.
• Experience with Adobe.

Role details and compensation

• Location: Baton Rouge, LA (onsite)
• Appointment type: Probational or Promotional
• Reporting expectation: The selected candidate is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.
• Classified state employees: Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment if selected.
• Career progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday; work hours will be determined.
• Pay: Salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
• Special entrance rate (SER): $24.31 hourly, $1,944.80 biweekly (above the minimum hire rate for these positions).
