Job summary

HR Jobs in Louisiana seeks a dedicated HR professional to serve as the primary contact for DOTD District 04. You will handle personnel actions, payroll processing, and records maintenance while ensuring accuracy and compliance with LaGov HCM.

You will also support benefits enrollment, employee relations, and recruitment activities. This position requires knowledge of Civil Service rules and strong data integrity across HR systems.

Qualifications

  • Three years of human resources experience; or six years of full-time experience in any field; or a bachelor’s degree.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university counts as one year of experience toward the six years of full-time experience requirement (in any field).
  • Maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours, substituting for up to four years of experience in any field.
  • No Civil Service test score is required to be considered for this vacancy.
  • List all work experience on the application; omission may affect eligibility.
  • Include information supporting eligibility (relevant, detailed experience and/or education) in the application; resumes are not accepted in place of completed education and experience sections.

  • Support employee benefits programs, including new hire enrollment, annual enrollment, qualifying life events, and retirement-related options.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, ADA accommodations, and other employee relations matters.
  • Provide recruitment support by posting vacancy announcements, responding to applicant inquiries, reviewing materials for compliance, and generating workforce/HR support reports for leadership.
