Job summary

Florida Department of Health seeks a Human Resource Analyst - SES to oversee SES reclassifications requiring DMS approval, reporting to Human Resource Manager B. The role partners with staff across the department and beyond, delivering HR policy guidance and technical support.

The successful candidate will review classification actions, conduct audits, and provide training on personnel rules, Florida statutes, and the People First system to ensure compliant, efficient staffing decisions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Florida State personnel rules and applicable statutes.
• Ability to interpret and communicate HR rules and procedures.
• Experience with People First HR systems and classification actions.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a second level HR review for actions that must be approved by DMS.
• Submit classification action requests to DMS and act as point of contact.
• Conduct position audits and issue decisions on classification.
• Provide technical assistance on personnel rules and HR policies.
• Review actions to classify CS, SES, SMS, and OPS positions.
• Deliver classification-related training and guidance.
