Job summary

DHRM seeks a Human Resource Analyst I at Haynesville Correctional Center to provide professional HR services for employees and supervisory staff. You will interpret policies and advise on benefits, leave, payroll, FMLA, and related HR transactions while ensuring compliance and accurate data handling.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in HRIS systems and knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws.

Qualifications

• Extensive working knowledge of generalist HR functions, including leave administration, payroll, benefits, and workers’ compensation.
• Working knowledge of Federal and State HR laws, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply HR policies and procedures and consult with management and employees.
• Experience using HRIS systems to enter and compile data.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality professional HR services to employees at Haynesville Correctional Center.
• Interpret policies and guide on benefits, leave, FLSA, payroll, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and other HR functions.
• Resolve issues between HR and Payroll, DHRM, Budget, and DOA.
• Promote a healing environment by modeling professionalism and improving customer service delivery.
