Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of technical HR experience or an equivalent combination (Level I).
  • Bachelor’s degree plus one year professional HR experience or Master’s degree in HR/related field or four years technical HR experience plus one year professional HR experience (Level II).
  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years professional HR experience; or Master’s degree plus one year; or equivalent combination; experience in job analysis, wage/benefits administration, or payroll is desired (Level III).

Responsibilities

  • Perform HR management, payroll administration, and application of HR laws and policies.
  • Complete classification studies, job audits, and develop job descriptions and organization charts.
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys and recommend salary changes.
  • Administer payrolls and benefits programs per applicable laws and agency rules.
  • Collect data on personnel selection and interview applicants; assist with recruitment outreach.
  • Assist with grievance processes and counsel employees on procedures.
  • Process personnel transactions and ensure compliance with rules on appointments and promotions.
  • Advise on personnel actions and maintain employee records.
