• Extensive knowledge of generalist HR functions, including leave administration and payroll.
• Knowledge of federal/state HR laws, policies and procedures.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and apply HR policies; consult with management.
• Experience using HRIS to enter and compile data.
• Effective oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality professional HR services to employees at an adult correctional center.
• Interprets policies and procedures and guides on benefits, leave, FLSA, payroll, FMLA, workers’ compensation and HR transactions.
• Resolves issues between HR and Payroll, DHRM, Budget, and DOA.
• Encourages and enhances customer service delivery within the healing environment.
