Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and posting of new positions in the HRIS system and communicate opportunities
  • Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract candidates and broaden the applicant pool.
  • Coordinate interview processes with hiring managers and ensure timely offer letters.
  • Oversee HRIS tasks, onboarding documentation, and process integrity.
  • Analyze compensation for current and future openings to maintain equity.
  • Coordinate approvals for HRIS actions, exit interviews, and related docs.
  • Oversee departmental supply procurement to ensure resources are available.
  • Prepare finance checks and secure necessary signatures.
  • Coordinate fingerprinting and badge issuance for new hires and staff.
  • Take on additional duties to support HR operations.

SUMMARY

The Human Resources Assistant provides essential support to the HR team through recruiting, administrative responsibilities, and assisting with financial check processing.

JOB DUTIES
  • Lead the creation and posting of new positions in the HRIS system, ensuring prompt communication of job opportunities to Compacted Tribal Administrators and primary recruitment partners.
  • Design and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract and engage top-tier candidates. Build and maintain strong relationships with recruiting resources to broaden the applicant pool.
  • Partner with hiring managers to streamline interview coordination and facilitate timely, consistent offer letters to selected candidates, ensuring a fair and efficient hiring process.
  • Ensure all HRIS recruiting tasks are thoroughly completed and submitted for onboarding, fostering team collaboration and process integrity.
  • Analyze compensation for current and future job openings to uphold equitable and competitive pay practices across CRNA and throughout Alaska.
  • Oversee and expedite approvals for HRIS processes, such as Personnel Action Forms, exit interviews, and supporting documentation.
  • Oversee departmental supply procurement to guarantee the availability of essential resources.
  • Prepare finance checks and manage the collection of necessary signatures efficiently.
  • Coordinate fingerprinting and badge issuance for new hires and existing employees.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support HR operations.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of human resources and benefits policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and requirements.
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of recruitment and staffing processes.
  • Ability to input and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong understanding and sensitivity to Alaska Native culture and lifestyle, with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native population.
  • Strong written, analytical, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills with sensitivity to lifestyles of targeted participants.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and produce timely and accurate written reports.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as required for HIPAA, other regulations and organization matters.
  • Ability to learn and apply program/agency operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, including outside contacts.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate or technical degree; preferably in business or other related fields, but open to consider other fields; or High school diploma and six (6) years of HR Management experience involving recruitment, employee relations, and/or other HR Management activity.
  • Extreme attention to detail and ensuring quality control on deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Six (6) years of HR management experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
WORKING CONDITIONS

The majority of work is performed in an office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. CRNA is a smoke free and tobacco free campus. May require local travel between compact services of CRNA which may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Works in an environment where protection of client confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided when and where needed.
