Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Transportation Operations Specialist in Houston, TX to support supply chain operations and ensure accurate data handling for transportation activities. The role emphasizes customer service, timely communication, and collaboration across teams.

The position involves reviewing outbound loads, updating transportation data, and assisting with warehouse and driver coordination to maintain schedule adherence. A fast-paced environment and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job-specific software applications.
• Ability to enter, review and verify documentation and information.
• Ability to prepare logs, reports and documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers; communicate timely and assist with operations as necessary.
• Review outbound loads for accuracy of dates, times, locations, counts and related information; apply a basic understanding of transportation and service operations.
• Review the outbound board for any air shipments; flag time-sensitive freight and notify the appropriate co-workers so it ships on schedule.
• Enter and update operational and customer transportation data in software systems and applications, such as purchase orders, shipping and logistics times, rates, dates and details.
• Perform required data and unit-of-measure conversions accurately; use databases, logs and other sources to locate and verify information.
• Print labels, forms, billing, invoices and related documents to ensure timely processing; track orders and information through systems, vendors and related sources.
• Assist the warehouse with dock checks and with the status and location of freight.
• Assist drivers after hours with delivery attempts and contact phone numbers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and maintain a safe and effective work environment.
• Assist with identifying potential operational or service concerns, notify appropriate co-workers and assist with resolution.
