Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Houston is seeking an Engineering Intern to support environmental services projects and learn standard engineering techniques. You will assist lead engineers with design tasks, update drawings, collect data, and help prepare presentations and reports.

The role targets students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related fields, requires strong communication skills, and emphasizes problem solving and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field from a recognized program is required.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities are required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher strongly preferred.
• Campus or community involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
