Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago, IL is seeking an Engineering Intern to perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures. You will assist lead engineers, update designs, and participate in project duties across market segments.

This paid internship requires a minimum 3.0 GPA and is designed to provide hands-on experience in environmental services projects. The role offers full-time scheduling, travel up to 5%, and a path to further opportunities within the Environmental

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or related field.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with standard engineering design tasks and updates.
• Support lead engineers with project duties.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis and presentations.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
