Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Environmental Engineering Interns in Austin, TX, to support design and updates of engineering systems, assist lead engineers, and work on project tasks across markets. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and exposure to environmental services, civil, and chemical engineering projects.

Responsibilities include data entry, documentation, preparing presentations, and assisting with ad hoc projects while maintaining strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, PowerPoint presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
