Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Chicago, IL to perform tasks requiring standard engineering techniques and procedures. You will assist lead engineers, support design updates, and contribute to project duties across market segments.

The role emphasizes a GPA of 3.0 or higher, campus involvement, and the legal ability to work in the United States. Environmental Services offers exposure to municipal and government clients, with opportunities in data analysis and presentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
