Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist lead engineers with project duties, apply standard engineering techniques, and support environmental services initiatives across municipal, state, and federal clients.

You will perform tasks such as data entry, presentations, and data analysis; maintain documentation; and contribute to continuous improvement while pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement or volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and self-motivation to grow in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project issues.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher strongly preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community is preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies.
