Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) is hiring a Field Superintendent - New Installation to lead a 12–20 person field team, ensuring safety and quality on installation projects in Dallas and surrounding areas.

You will coordinate schedules, materials, and payroll, monitor progress, and collaborate with sales, project management, and union representatives to meet contractual and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry, construction industry or related field experience
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive employee relations with proven leadership skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing tradespeople
• Flexibility to be on call
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing, safe team of 12–20 field technicians by enforcing company quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily project schedules, job site readiness walkthroughs, parts/material ordering, and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through consistent site visits and communication.
• Manage manpower levels in partnership with union representatives, resolving employee relations and staffing issues.
• Support sales and project management teams with bid estimates, job progress meetings, and complaint resolution.
• Ensure all installation projects meet contractual, company, and safety requirements.
