Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall supervision of subordinate security assigned to housing units and supervise inmates.
• Perform routine inspections of living areas for security, safety, and sanitation.
• Conduct investigations of alleged misconduct by inmates and security personnel.
• Assist in conducting formal and informal counts.
• Supervise job performance, conduct, and appearance of security personnel and prepare evaluations.
• Counsel, recommend disciplinary action, and train subordinate staff to required standards.
• Prepare reports as needed or required.
• Perform duties of shift lieutenant when necessary.
