Job summary

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the supervision of subordinate security assigned to housing units and custody of inmates.
• Make routine inspections of living areas for security, safety and sanitation.
• Conduct investigations of alleged misconduct by inmates and staff.
• Assist in conducting formal and informal counts.
• Supervise performance, conduct and appearance of staff and prepare evaluations.
• Counsel, recommend disciplinary action, and train subordinate staff to standards.
• Prepare reports as needed or required.
