Job summary

Equitable Social Solutions is hiring a community support professional to assist homeless individuals in securing shelter and services in California. The role involves counseling, referrals, and coordinating with county and community partners to move clients toward self-sufficiency.

You will manage caseloads, document cases, and collaborate with property owners and service providers to expedite access to housing and supportive services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field preferred or equivalent skills and experience.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, Email and Data Entry
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Driver’s License with good driving record
• Travel throughout the County

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to multiple groups and stakeholders.
• Establish effective working relationships with staff, agencies, employers, property owners/managers, and service providers.
• Exercise appropriate judgment; maintain confidentiality of files and records.
• Assess client needs and conduct in-depth interviews; be aware of homelessness and county demographics.
• Organize, prioritize, and complete a large volume of work within strict deadlines.
• Provide counseling and referral services to clients and document expenditures and services.
