Job summary

Equitable Social Solutions is seeking a dedicated staff member to support homeless clients in Escondido and surrounding areas. You will conduct client interviews, assess needs, and coordinate housing placements while maintaining client confidentiality and following regulations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple referrals and a revolving caseload to help clients move toward self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field preferred or equivalent skills and experience.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, Email and Data Entry.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Driver's License with good driving record.
• Travel throughout the County.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, agencies, employers, property owners/managers, mechanics, hotel/motel operators, and other service providers on behalf of clients.
• Establish effective working relationships with County agencies and service providers.
• Assess client needs through in-depth interviews, maintain confidentiality, and analyze consequences of decisions.
• Help place clients in immediate shelter and assist with barriers to housing and self-sufficiency.
• Manage and maintain a revolving caseload, document expenditures, and coordinate referrals to appropriate services.
