Job summary

Insight Housing in Berkeley is seeking a Housing Case Manager to support Shelter Plus Care and Berkeley Respite participants. You will drive housing navigation, tenancy sustaining services, and regular home visits across Berkeley and Alameda County.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and confidential client handling, with experience in housing programs and landlord relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree a plus.
• One year of direct support for homelessness or related social issues.
• Proficient in computer use; Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing navigation and tenancy sustaining services across programs.
• Conduct participant intake, eligibility assessment, and file maintenance.
• Coordinate with Shelter Plus Care and Berkeley Respite program staff and landlords.
• Develop and monitor individualized housing plans; track progress and barriers.
