Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund is seeking a Full-time Case Manager in New York, NY to provide direct case management, counseling, and advocacy to help families move into permanent housing. You will assess needs, create service plans, coordinate housing supports, and connect clients with essential benefits and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an Associated degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or Human Services.
• Experience in social services, counseling, crisis intervention, family services or housing services is preferred.
• Bilingual ability is highly desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct case management including assessment, counseling and crisis intervention.
• Utilize CARES and other systems to document intake, service plans and progress notes.
• Advocate for clients to access benefits and services for permanent housing.
• Coordinate services to stabilize families and improve life skills and budgeting.
• Maintain up-to-date records and communicate with DHS/City agencies.
