Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund in Bronx, NY is seeking a Full-time Case Manager to provide direct services, including intake assessment, counseling and crisis intervention, to assist families in securing permanent housing. You will coordinate referrals, track progress, and advocate for clients to access benefits and housing options.

The role requires a bachelor’s or associate degree in social services or related fields, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred and/or an Associate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or Human Services.
• Experience: minimum of one year in social services, counseling, crisis intervention, family services, preventive services or housing services.
• Bilingual language ability highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct case management including assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, referral and advocacy.
• Utilize DHS CARES and related systems for intake, service plans and progress notes.
• Advocate to ensure clients receive benefits and move toward permanent housing.
• Coordinate services to stabilize families and improve housing readiness.
• Document interactions and maintain compliance with regulations.
