The Case Manager - STEHP position at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York provides direct case management services focused on eviction prevention. The role includes advocacy, information and referral, and short-term case management for clients at risk of eviction.

Based at the Joseph P Kennedy Center in NYC, this full-time, non-exempt position runs 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime to meet program needs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or at least two years' experience in the social services field.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish, a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of city resources.
• Good organizational, time-management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Provide crisis intervention to individuals and families facing a housing crisis and at risk of eviction.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments and develop service plans to address identified needs.
• Assess individual and family problems and follow up with services or referrals.
• Conduct outreach and home visits.
• Maintain documentation of services provided to clients.
• Assist clients in applying for and receiving public and private benefits.
• Attend regular sessions with supervisor and agency trainings.
• Complete statistical reports and participate in food pantry activities.
