Job summary

Phoenix House is seeking a Housing Specialist in Hauppauge, NY to help clients transition from rehabilitation to permanent housing. You will assess eligibility for government-financed housing, assist with applications, and maintain a resource database.

You will provide counseling, advocacy and support for housing documents, develop workshops, and engage with community partners to expand housing options. This role requires CASAC credential, at least one year in behavioral health, and a

• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing.
• Minimum one year in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program.
