Job summary

East Hampshire District Council seeks a Housing Solutions Officer to deliver proactive, customer-focused housing advice and options for individuals facing homelessness or housing difficulties.

You will work with colleagues to ensure compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act, support allocations and welfare assessments, and promote Hampshire Home Choice alongside partners, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-focused housing support in public services.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain housing options clearly.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced council environment.
• Team player with initiative and flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, customer-oriented housing advice and options.
• Assist with allocations, Hampshire Home Choice guidance, and welfare assessments.
• Work with partners to prevent homelessness and deliver housing solutions.
• Maintain workload, respond to changing priorities, and stay calm under pressure.
