Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Housing Options Advisor to join the Housing Solutions team. • Lead and participate in multi-agency meetings to identify risks and develop support plans.
• Support the delivery of the Move-On project by identifying residents ready for move-on and coordinating pathways into long-term accommodation.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and maintain accurate case records using housing management systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, delivering effective triage, advice, and assessment services.
• Manage a caseload of homelessness prevention and relief cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Complete Full Housing Assessments (FHAs) and develop Personal Housing Plans (PHPs).
• Provide tailored advice and practical support including landlord negotiation, mediation, and tenancy sustainment.
• Lead and participate in multi-agency meetings to identify risks and develop support plans.
• Support the delivery of the Supported Accommodation Move-On Project by identifying residents ready for move-on and coordinating pathways into long-term accommodation.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and maintain accurate case records using housing management systems.

Experience

• Previous experience within Housing Options, Homelessness Prevention, Housing Advice, Housing Solutions, or a similar housing-related service.
• Experience managing a customer-focused caseload within a local authority, housing association, or voluntary sector environment.
• Experience developing housing solutions for vulnerable individuals and households and working with multiple agencies.
• Desirable: Experience working with supported accommodation providers, single homelessness services, or rough sleeping services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of homelessness legislation, statutory duties, and housing options processes.
• Desirable: CIH qualification or other relevant housing qualification.

Additional Information

• Working hours: 37 Hours per week.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• This is a hybrid role (minimum 4 days on-site) based in Northamptonshire.
