Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a housing adviser to actively promote our vision of delivering housing services that put citizens first. The role includes preventing homelessness, allocating temporary accommodations, and safeguarding citizens.

You will use IT systems like Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and provide high-quality customer-focused service. Hybrid working is available, with flexible arrangements to suit the role.

Qualifications

• Intervening to help homelessness and advocate to prevent homelessness.
• Administrating accommodation resources and maintaining data accuracy.
• Inquiries under the Housing Act 1996 as amended.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing advice and assistance to prevent homelessness.
• Assist in allocation and management of temporary and supported accommodation.
• Communicate complex issues clearly in face-to-face settings with tact and care.
• Adhere to safeguarding and Housing Act requirements; understand safeguarding principles.
