Humbercare Ltd is seeking a part-time housing support worker to deliver intensive housing management for women with complex needs. You will engage with service users weekly, helping them prevent homelessness and build independent living skills within the local community.

You will work in a role focused on person-centred support, working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to design responsive services.

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 2 Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in social care or similar environment, preferably with women.
• Knowledge of person-centred, strengths-based approaches.

Responsabilités

• Provide a programme of intensive housing management to service users referred into the HRS.
• Deliver housing management to support women with complex needs to prevent homelessness and enable independent living.
• Engage with service users weekly to support independent living in the community.
• Act as ambassador for Humbercare and be the point of contact for customers, designing services with input from users.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide a programme of intensive housing management to service users referred into the HRS in accordance with housing benefit support exemption requirements.
• To deliver housing management within a service which will support women with complex needs who suffer severe and multiple disadvantages, to immediately prevent or resolve homelessness and enable them to develop sufficient, independent living skills in order to move-on, sustain a tenancy and live fulfilling lives.
• To engage with service users on a weekly basis to support individuals to maintain and achieve independent living in the community.
• To provide a high-quality service, ensuring outstanding customer service and service delivery by acting as an ambassador for Humbercare and point of contact for customers. Engaging with service users to design services that work for them and utilising resources within the local area to make a real, quality difference to peoples' lives.

Essential Requirements

• Educated to Level 2 Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a social care or similar environment, preferably with women.
• Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Care Principles and Practice.
• Knowledge of statutory and voluntary support agencies that specialise supporting women.
• Working knowledge of person-centred, strengths-based approaches to support and care planning.
• Experience of working with others to achieve successful outcomes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Team working experience, working cooperatively with colleagues in complex, pressurised situations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

Desirable Requirements

• Willing to work towards a recognised housing/care/support qualification.
