Job summary

YWCA South Hampton Roads is seeking a Housing Program Supervisor to oversee housing services for unhoused clients and staff. You will lead team performance, ensure grant compliance, and coordinate with the Continuum of Care to improve housing outcomes.

Role involves crisis intervention, collaboration with leadership, and training staff and volunteers on housing operations and trauma-informed care within a diverse community in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, or related human services field.
• Two years of supervisory experience or equivalent leadership/management training.
• Two years of experience working with victims of violence and/or homeless persons.
• Previous experience working in a homeless housing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership and Continuum of Care to coordinate housing services for unhoused clients.
• Supervise housing staff, including team building, goals, and evaluations.
• Train staff, volunteers, and interns on the Housing Program and violence dynamics.
• Liaise with the Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry System during case management.
• Define and implement procedures for emergency housing and rapid rehousing for grant compliance.
