Job summary

Brown University seeks an Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Projects to manage housing processes using StarRez and ensure seamless integration of assignments, billing, and campus data systems. The role supports graduate and undergraduate selection cycles and collaborates with campus partners to optimize occupancy.

The position is fixed-term through June 30, 2027, designed to enhance operational integrity during peak housing periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in residential life, housing assignments, systems management, or other relevant fields required.
• Experience working with StarRez and/or other housing management systems required.
• Data management and analysis skills required.
• Advanced administrative experience in StarRez (including Report Fuel, Dashboards, and Portal X) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee graduate housing processes integrated in StarRez.
• Support housing lottery for 3,100+ students and placement of 1,800+ first-year students.
• Manage River House occupancy reporting.
• Provide technical backing for selection cycles, graduate and undergraduate.
• Collaborate with Associate Director, Residential Operations to support special housing processes.
