Job summary

Rider University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Housing Assignments and Administrative Services. The role leads housing assignment processes, manages StarRez and data analytics, and collaborates with campus partners to ensure accurate data and high student satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in student affairs, higher education admin, public admin, or related discipline; or 3–5 years residential work in higher ed.
• Experience planning/coordinating housing assignments, room changes, and related processes.
• Experience supervising paraprofessional staff and using database tech to support housing services.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to student growth and inclusive campus climate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all housing assignment processes to ensure data accuracy and student satisfaction.
• Manage cloud-based StarRez housing management system, including databases, dashboards and analytics.
• Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, and data integrity with campus partners.
• Prepare reports, develop marketing initiatives to support occupancy goals.
• Oversee meal plan processes and website content for REUH.
• Maintain relationships with campus offices and supervise staff; manage budgets and finances.
• Serve in campus-wide on-call capacity for emergencies.
