Job summary

Furman University seeks an Associate Director for Housing Operations to lead the operation, maintenance, custodial services, and facility stewardship of the university’s residential communities while supervising staff and managing budgets.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean and Director of Housing and Residence Life, the role builds vendor relationships and coordinates with campus partners to provide safe, well-maintained living environments that support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three to seven years of facilities or housing experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, project management, customer service, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead housing operations, maintenance, custodial services and facility stewardship.
• Oversee staff supervision and budgeting for housing facilities.
• Develop vendor relationships and manage contracts and inspections.
• Coordinate maintenance with Facilities Services and contractors.
• Ensure safety and high-quality living environments for students.
