Job summary

Purdue University College of Engineering-Office of Academic Affairs seeks an Assistant Director of Residential Housing Operations to manage housing services, front desk operations, and conference activities within a busy residential environment.

The role directs a team of clerks and student staff, oversees move-in/out periods, and ensures quality communications and training across the department in support of the university mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in management, education, or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading a team and supervising staff.
• Broad knowledge of front desk operations, housing operations, and student affairs theory.
• Strong project management and fiscal analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff readiness to meet residential and academic needs.
• Oversee 4–5 front desks in assigned neighborhood.
• Supervise 4–5 full-time clerks and student staff; support Move‑in/out.
• Provide training and development for staff; participate in on-call rotations.
