Job summary

Fairleigh Dickinson University seeks an Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life for Operations at Florham Campus. You will lead housing operations, assignments, occupancy management, and meal plan administration, ensuring effective processes across the residential community.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 2–4 years of housing experience, with strong data and project-management skills. Some evening/weekend work and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• Two to four years of progressively responsible experience in Housing and Residence Life or related area.
• Experience with StarRez and student information systems is preferred.
• Strong data interpretation and reporting skills for strategic decisions.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication with campus partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housing assignment process and occupancy management.
• Manage meal plan administration and housing applications.
• Develop housing policies and procedures and analyze occupancy trends.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure student-centered service.
• Lead the housing management systems and operational procedures.
