Job summary

Family Service of RI (FSRI) seeks a Housing Navigator to support families at Lucy’s Hearth Shelter in Middletown, RI. You will build landlord relationships, deliver stabilization services, and teach budgeting, tenant rights, and rental navigation to help families achieve housing stability.

Responsibilities include leading housing application workshops and regular resident meetings, collaborating with the Case Management Coordinator to tailor support for each family’s needs and goals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in human services or equivalent required.
• Experience with diverse populations and collaborating with staff, residents, local agencies, lenders, etc.
• Excellent organizational, computer skills, and customer skills required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate bi-monthly housing application workshops.
• Conduct at least two individual housing-focused meetings with each resident per month.
• Actively participate in bi-monthly resident house meetings.
