Job summary

Abode Services in Hayward, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to manage and perform high-level maintenance across a newly constructed community. The role requires coordinating the maintenance program, ensuring safety, and supervising make-ready/ turnover of units with on-call duties.

The ideal candidate has 3 years’ experience in related maintenance, strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years’ experience in Unit Turnover, Hotel or Residential Maintenance.
• Valid California driver's license, auto insurance, and clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform major, minor, and routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner according to housing quality standards.
• Ensure all service requests are completed daily and followed up for satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the property manager on needed services or repairs and oversee make-ready duties for vacant units.
• Maintain property grounds, respond to after-hours calls, and uphold safety and code compliance.
• Report progress and update property management software with daily repairs and renovations.
