Job summary

Abode Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to manage the maintenance program for a newly constructed community. You will oversee make-ready, safety compliance, and cost-efficient inventory, using Yardi and MS Office daily.

The role requires on-call rotation, strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and a commitment to high-quality housing standards with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience in Unit Turnover, Hotel or Residential Maintenance.
• Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance; clean DMV record.
• Excellent verbal & written communication in English.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Experience repairing sheetrock, doors and cabinetry; troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safety regulations for residential maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform major, minor, and routine maintenance/repair per housing standards.
• Ensure all service requests are completed daily and followed up for satisfaction.
• Inspect vacant units and oversee make-ready duties.
• Coordinate with property manager on needed repairs and safety.
• Maintain inventory and operate maintenance tools safely.
• Report updates in property management software daily.
