Job summary

Abode is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to manage the maintenance program of a supportive housing property, including make-ready turnover, safety compliance, and inventory control. The role may supervise other maintenance staff and requires on-call availability around the clock.

Candidate will work with property management software and Microsoft Office, ensuring timely service requests and quality workmanship while maintaining positive relations with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 3 years’ experience in Unit Turnover, Hotel or Residential Maintenance; 1-2 years supervisory experience required.
• Use of personal vehicle and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record, is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform major, minor, and routine maintenance/repair to housing standards.
• Ensure all service requests are completed daily.
• Follow-up on service requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Respond to after-hours calls and emergencies.
• Inspect vacant units and oversee make-ready processes.
• Inform property manager of needed service or repairs.
• Maintain property exterior and common areas daily.
• Report and update work orders in property management software.
