Childrens Rescue Fund in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a dedicated full-time professional to provide direct case management, including assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, referral, and advocacy to help families secure permanent housing.

The position uses DHS CARES data systems, requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Occasional travel within the NYC area is expected. Salary is $47,000 annually with a Sunday–Thursday schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience facilitating groups for homeless adults and knowledge of substance abuse issues and family dynamics.
• Bilingual language ability highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Complete intake assessments, service plans, and documentation in CARES.
• Provide advocacy to obtain benefits and services for clients.
• Coordinate services to stabilize families and pursue permanent housing.
• Develop and maintain helping relationships and provide individual counseling.
• Facilitate group sessions and coordinate with other staff for timely service delivery.
• Assist in client transfers and on-call duties.
