Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is hiring a Case Manager in Philadelphia. Immediate availability, full-time schedule, reporting to the Director of Emergency Housing. Salary is $50,000 with a 10E grade.

The role involves client assessment, housing plan development, regular contact, counseling, referrals, and housing application preparation within the shelter program. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or enrollment in an MSW program, computer literacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or enrolled in MSW program.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; Internet navigation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Background checks per PA laws: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check; necessary training.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients, housing plan development, and regular contact to assess progress and needs.
• Provide guidance and counseling to residents and referrals to social services.
• Prepare housing applications, document resident progress and services, complete forms, and input client track data.
